What the hell is RTM - Remember The Milk
I want to tell about a site that makes me life easier every day, maybe some of you know him, is called RTM - Remember The Milk . Basically it is a web service that gives us the ability to add tasks, seteándole priorities, labeling them with tags (what Google saw!). I know there are a lot of that going around, but little with such ease of integration with other services and above all so easy and flexible in use.
"Remember The Milk reinvents the to-do list" is the phrase that we are in place, your slogan, and it is very true.
Some of its features are:
- allowed to receive both reminders that you want ... email, messengers (GTalk, MSN, Skype, etc.), by SMS, pigeons yet ... but I will suggest.
- Locally use Google Gears or Adobe Air , for cases where you have no web connection (traveling on the bus with your mini laptop and free wireless broadband).
- Add ons for Gmail, Google Calendar, Thunderbird, etc..
- Lets you put your tasks in real-world maps (Google maps). Allowing you to even plan a route based on your tasks.
- Agility in the management of tasks, based on priorities, deadlines, hotkeys (shortcuts).
- Integration with Twitter , mobile version, igoogle, netvibes, bookmarlets for your browser.
- Ability to organize on the basis of lists, labels, clouds, messing around ...
- Manage group formation tasks, send them to another user.
Anyway ... a lot, and all very helpful. And above all, simple, easy to use. A mainstay of the methodology to use GTD which I will be talking soon. And one way to get you off the stickies and notepads all's lists.
A quick tip from your cell phone ... Twister and Twister have it, just send a message like "d rtm look at the sky tomorrow", and voila, RTM adds the task for tomorrow. You can also have your list of tasks quickly, send "d rtm! Today", and go. Tasks for today on your phone.
